Big day out (End of the year..)

 My class and me went on a big day out to the lake, everyone was so excited we waited In the class room for Nic (The Teacher) to do the Role.We all had smiles on our faces before heading out the door to make our way to our first walk, We walked up the rocky track and done the loop.When we finished the track Nic counted everyone to see If everyone was there, But Katelyn was missing!We walked up the track calmly trying not to make anyone nervous of what happened to her..When we found her she had hypothermia, But dont worry we were just practising First aid so she really didn't have hypothermia..When we got to the bottom of the track again we counted and everyone was there, so we made our way to our next walk.We started to walk the path.We walked across a swing bridge and we found a fairy village, It was very colourful and it was a very peaceful, We had to practise first aid a couple of times..When we left the walk we went down to the sand and made tents out of things on the beach, and we even made S'mores!When we finished up there and had lunch we made our way back to the school and that was It!  

Hokitika Camp

 On a Sunny day in November we had our 2021 class camp.

In the Morning we packed everything into the cars, My teacher and some of my friends Parents helped out transporting people and taking bags, we listened to old country music on the way we jumped around with excitement to be even going on camp.

When we got there we would lay out our beds In a huge hall before running out the door jumping to the colourful playground with a huge grin on our faces then we had tea and went to bed some of us would read for a bit before going to sleep in our sleeping bags.

The Next day we got up and had some brekkie then we left to go to Hokitika gorge It was a very peaceful place and It had a lot of birds In the green trees.Soon after we had to pack everything up and make our way to the cars to go to the tree top walk cafe we had yummy chips and hot dogs It was such a lovely place!

We walked up to the tree top walk It was very high off the ground some people got a little scared, then we made our way back to the cars to go back to the camp, when we got there, we had a camp concert It went on for about 30 minuets before we had to go and play spotlight It was very dark and you nearly could not see anything then we went to bed.

In the Morning we got up and Packed everything It was time to go home It was so sad when we were leaving we popped into the greymouth pools for a quick swim around then we ate Pizza for lunch!

Teamwork is everyday.

You need Teamwork everyday, Teamwork can be very tough but give it a go. If you have Teamwork in a Team then it will show, if you haven't maybe give it a go. Helping someone out, or showing them the right way, or even giving them a smile to say dont give up, you dont want any drama that's not the way to go.

So I think in a Team you need Teamwork to make sure everything goes according to plan.

Bravery is the way to go.

Bravery is the way to go.Everyone has bravery in them, Challenges and fears you have to get over at one point of your life it can be tough but once you know what to do you can get over them in no time.At times you might need to use bravery in such conditions like getting out of your comfort zone. 

Climbing Mount Te-Kinga!

On Thursday 8th of April We climbed Mountain Te-Kinga half way up.It was very exiting some people thought it was so fun!

On the way we heard the birds in the trees,we even stopped to take photos. It was so peaceful,

and the view was astonishing.After the walk we went swimming, some people tried catching cockabillies but they were not easy to catch at all,in that time some people started to make the fires we would roast marshmallows on.We got 4 marshmallows each then we put out the fires.After that we got changed and headed back to school its was the greatest walk I had ever done.

This Weeks Fun Writing!

This Week we have been writing about natural Disasters. I picked an Earthquake It was very fun and exciting  My favourite part was in the story of mine was: Morgan was stress eating Tara said keep the screaming down while the earthquake was happening. 

What are you most scared of?

Earthquake!

Rocks and Geology.

 In class we did Geology, it was fun and very exciting and everyone learnt many new things about different types of rock here are 3 types of rocks that we have learnt about: Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic. 

Here is some Examples of the different types rocks:

Igneous rock: Tuff, Limestone and Slate.

Sedimentary rock: Obsidian, Shale and Quatzite. 

Metamorphic rock: Pumice, Sandstone and Marble.
